March in Motion: A Team Scattered Across States, Countries, and Challenges

March didn't have one defining race or a single start line where everyone gathered. Instead, it felt like the team scattered in all directions: different states, different countries, different kinds of challenges. And somehow, that says a lot about who we are right now.

A group of our road riders headed out to Texas and jumped into what Ignacio called "the hardest junior race in America." It was big, fast, and unforgiving, and Beyond showed up. Not just to participate, but to learn, to adapt, and to see what that level really looks like.

Closer to home (and not so close), riders were everywhere. Louis, Henry, and Eliette took on the MBAA #3 race in Lake Havasu. Damiano is currently racing in Europe. Jasper and Bode lined up at the Cactus Cup. Greta, Sofia, and Louis made the long trip out to Arkansas to race. Others tested themselves at Tour de Scottsdale. No single headline, just a steady drumbeat of showing up.

It's hard not to notice where some of that energy comes from. While this is a youth team, the adults around it are doing their own version of "showing up" in big and sometimes wild ways! Kent took on a 300+ mile gravel race across Southern Arizona. Coach Lynn, Simon, Sterling, and Max rode over 400 miles to Idyllwild, stacking up over 40,000 feet of climbing along the way. Coach Amy set out on foot from the border and hiked all the way to Patagonia.

These aren't small efforts, and the kids see it. They see what it looks like to commit to something hard: to train for it, talk about it, maybe even doubt it a little, but go do it anyway. That kind of example doesn't stay contained. It carries over.

Because at the end of the day, Beyond Racing isn't just about races or results. It's about the environment we're building both on and off the bike, the kind where kids are surrounded by people who take on big challenges, who contribute, who stay curious, and who are willing to put in the effort.

We're always watching each other, whether we realize it or not. And more often than not, that's how growth happens: by being part of something where effort, adventure, and follow-through are just normal. And then one day, you realize you're doing those things too.
