Let the Season Begin: Jersey Reveal and the Start of the 2026 Race Season
We began the year by hosting our Team Presentation and Jersey Reveal, a tradition well known in the cycling world, where teams unveil their new kit for the season ahead. This moment carried special meaning for our athletes, as it marked the first time a Beyond Racing kit had ever been worn. Each athlete contributed by writing a short reflection on what the Beyond Racing program has taught them beyond the bike. These personal narratives were read aloud by our sponsors and donors as each rider was introduced. It was a powerful exchange: young athletes finding their voices, and the community that supports them hearing firsthand the impact of their generosity.
Before the presentation, sponsors and donors were welcomed into HQ for tours and time to meet the athletes. We remain deeply aware that Beyond Racing would not exist without this support, and January was an opportunity to express our gratitude in a meaningful, human way.
On the racing side, January also marked the start of the 2026 season, with riders jumping into MBAA events and local criteriums. These early races set the tone for the year by building fitness, sharpening skills, and reinforcing the habits that will carry our athletes through a demanding season.
As we move into February, the pace only accelerates. Our team will split across disciplines and regions, highlighting the breadth of Beyond Racing's programs. Our road team will head north to Phoenix to compete at the Valley of the Sun Stage Race, while our mountain bike squad takes on the endurance challenge of 24HOP. Later in the month, select road athletes will travel to Texas to compete at La Primavera at Lago Vista, a high-level two-stage omnium that attracts both amateur and professional racers.
As February unfolds, Beyond Racing continues to do what it was built to do: develop young athletes as racers, teammates, and people, on the bike and far beyond it.
