Race Season Arrives Fast for Beyond Racing

If there is one word to describe September for Beyond Racing, it might be fast.

The fall season seems to go from 0 to 100 overnight. After an unforgettable week in Durango camp, our riders returned to Tucson in August and settled back into the school routine and regular practices. Then September arrived and it was time to race.

Beyond Racing hit the road for the first two Arizona Cycling Association races of the season, traveling to Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff and Pioneer Park in Prescott. With riders competing for Salpointe Catholic, Tucson High, University High, Tucson Composite and Imago Dei, there was a lot happening across the team.

And while the results are always fun to celebrate, racing is about much more than where a rider finishes.

For some of our experienced riders, September was an opportunity to test their fitness, put months of training into practice and start figuring out where they stand as the season unfolds. For others, it was something completely new.
