April, Told Through Team Messages

If you scroll back through TeamSnap from this past month, you can almost relive April in real time: the early mornings, the race updates, the quick check-ins, the photos from the road. It all adds up to more than just information. It tells the story of this team as it's happening.

And what a month it was. Beyond Racing athletes were spread all over: mountain bike races in Temecula, Prescott, and Flagstaff, plus big road events like Redlands and Tour of the Gila. Different locations, different disciplines, but one shared experience unfolding across group messages and updates.

In between logistics and race times, certain moments stood out.

After one race, a simple reminder from Ignacio came through: "Hard work pays off."

At the Gila crit, a longer message told the story of Jacobo, Bode, and Dempsey: "They were amazing. They created a plan mid-race, trusted each other, and took their chance. It was just too early and they ran out of steam. But who cares? They trusted each other and tried. They'll figure it out." Not every lesson comes with a podium, but those are often the ones that matter most.

Then there are the moments that say even more about who this team is. In the middle of a race, Henry crashed and Dempsey stopped to check on him. "Character. It matters. How you treat and care for others."

And woven throughout the month, a theme that kept showing up in different ways: "These trips, these experiences, it's how we build a team. Sharing space, food, and laughs."

That might be the real story of April. Yes, there was strong racing across the board. Yes, the work is paying off. But what lives in those TeamSnap messages is the encouragement, the risks taken, the support for one another, and the time spent together. That's what's building something lasting.

Because long after the results are forgotten, these are the moments our athletes will remember.
